Whether the birthday girl loves Princess Pea or Tinkerbell, parents can use their creativity to plan a fun fairy tale themed party. The party guests will love the homemade wand invitations, the fairy princess food, the birthday games and crafts, and the pink castle cupcakes.

Homemade Fairy Wand Birthday Invitations

There is no need to spend a lot of money on custom invitations for a fairy princess party. It is easy to make fairy wand invitations that little girls will love.

  1. Use Microsoft Word or another word processing to type up the party details. Choose your favorite wand clip art and insert it into a text box on the left side of a blank document. Insert another text box to the right of the wand.
  2. Choose a fairy tale-ish font and write, “Once upon a time in a fairy tale land, A little girl named ____ had a birthday celebration planned. She would love if you could join her to sing, dance, and play, And have lots of fun at a party for her third birthday!”
  3. Under the poem specify the date, time and place for the party along with any RSVP information. Print out the invites and use glitter glue to decorate the wand clip art.
  4. Purchase an inexpensive package of wands from the favor aisle at any discount store. Type the short poem, “Don’t forget to grab your wand when its time to get dressed, And come ready to giggle, dance, and twirl like a fairy princess!” onto a blank document and print out.
  5. Cut out the poems and use curling ribbon to tie them to the wands.
  6. Place a wand in the envelope with each invitation and pass out to the party guests.

Fairy Princess Birthday Party Snacks and Food

How to Make Fairy Fruit Wands

  • Create the base of a fairy fruit wand by placing small berries or grapes onto a piece of uncooked spaghetti or pretzel stick. Use a small star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out watermelon and cantaloupe star stick on the top of the spaghetti to complete the wand.

How to Make Pink Yogurt with Fairy Dust

  • Purchase pink low-fat yogurt cups for all of the party guests. Set out shakers with different colored sugar crystals for the girls to use to add fairy dust to their yogurt.

How to Make Pink Cereal Crown Treats

  • Use your favorite recipe and food coloring to make a pan of pink Rice Krispy® treats. Take a crown shaped cookie cutter and cut out pink cereal crowns for each of the guests.

Fairy Princess Birthday Party Activities

When the party guests arrive they can get right to work making their own crowns. Purchase foam crowns, jewels and glitter glue at a craft store and encourage the kids to use their creativity to design their own royal crown.

After the crowns are done pass out princess skirts, shoes, and fairy wings to all of the girls. These items can usually be purchased for a dollar each at your local discount store. Put on party music so the fairy princesses can dance. Make up fun dance moves for the girls to try such as the fairy wing shuffle or the princess hop and play freeze dance.

How To Make Princess Castle Cupcakes

Create a mini-castle for each little princess at the party. Use a box mix to bake regular size cupcakes and your favorite frosting to frost them pink. Next mix a batch of royal icing making sure to use meringue powder instead of egg whites so that it is safe for kids.

Take a pastry brush and paint the royal icing onto upside down sugar cones. Sprinkle pink sprinkles onto the iced cones and allow them to dry.

Use kitchen shears to cut the tips off of the cones so there is a hole at the top of each one. Stick a toothpick flag onto the cones and place the cones on the frosted cupcakes. Serve each guest a castle cupcake at the princess party.

Homemade fairy wand invitations, beautiful princess party decorations, tasty fairy princess party food, fun fairy princess birthday games and crafts, and pink princess castle cupcakes make your little princess’s birthday “fairy” fun indeed!
