Hannah Montana is very popular with the young girls up to tweens. If your girl wants a Hannah Montana party, give her one that she will never forget with these ideas.

What could possibly be more popular today with kids than Hannah Montana? You can be sure that any girl between the ages of 6 and 10 would love to have a fun and memorable Hannah Montana themed birthday party. Here are some suggestions to start "Pumpin' Up the Party."

Invitations

Make microphone-shaped invitations using gray card stock. Cut out the shape of a microphone, punch tiny holes around the top of the microphone and twist on silver wire for the top of the microphone. Glue a clipart image of Hannah Montana on the skinny part of the microphone. Add a piece of black yarn to the end of the microphone to be a cord. Add party details to the back of the invite.

Decorations

Hannah Montana is all about the stage, stars, and glitter. That is exactly what you need to decorate for this party. You need plenty of bright colored streamers and star-shaped helium balloons. Make sure you have a red carpet, too. Go to a carpet store and see if they have a remnant you can buy. You can also use a heavy piece of red fabric. Make sure it stays in place by using removable double-sided rug tape. If you want, you can also buy or order Hannah Montana themed decorations and party plates through a party supply store.

Activities

  • Costume Contest: Instruct the kids to show up in their best Hannah Montana or pop star attire. When they arrive, have them walk down the "red carpet" to strut their stuff. Give children a ballot and let them vote on their favorites. You might want to make a category so that each child can win something. You can have categories such as: Best Overall, Best Hair Do, Most Colorful Clothes, Tallest Shoes, Most Sparkle and Best Bling. Have small prizes to give to each child.
  • Talent Show: Kids love talent shows, and it is a perfect activity for this birthday party. When you send out the invitations, mention there will be a talent show and give them ideas such as singing, dancing, lip-synching, or even telling jokes. Have a time set aside for everyone to put on her own act.
  • Makeovers: Give each girl a mini-makeover at the party. Enlist the help of a couple of other adults or older teens. Have colorful hair extensions, body glitter, and nail polish, make up and of course, lipstick. Use disposable make up brushes, cotton balls and applicators to reduce the risk of spreading germs. Make sure you take plenty of pictures.
  • Karaoke: Karaoke is another huge hit for this age group. Provide plenty of room and karaoke CDs, including all of Hannah's popular songs, and just let the kids have a great time entertaining themselves.

Cake and Snacks

A microphone shaped cake is in order for this party. Bake a regular cake in a 9 x 13-inch pan and frost with pink icing. Frost a Twinkie snake cake in chocolate frosting and place it on top of the cake for the microphone handle. Use a cupcake or other rounded snack cake and frost in white. Sprinkle with silver nonpareils and place right above the microphone handle. For snacks, make a table filled with "backstage" food—the kind you would expect to see for a famous pop star. Finger sandwiches, fruit picks and crackers are all good choices.

Goodie Bags

Visit your local dollar store and buy an inexpensive purse for each child. Fill it with nail polish, lip gloss, Hannah Montana stickers and inexpensive jewelry. You might even buy each girl an autograph book so each party star can sign it before they leave.

Two games that I came up with for my daughters party were:
1. Pin the microphone on Hannnah (like pin the tail on the donkey)
but I printed out microphones from powerpoint with numbers on them
for the girls to stick on a Hannah Montanna poster.
2. Pass the Microphone (played like Hot potato) using a microphone and
playing a Hannah Montanna CD.
3. i am also having a table with Hannah Montanna coloring sheets that
I found on the web. Search for Hannah Montanna coloring sheets.
Hope these help your party planning!

One activity that my 8 year old daughter and her guests enjoyed was decorating picture frames. I bought some inexpensive clear acrylic picture frames and a bag of craft foam shapes (purses, lipstick, high heel shoe, etc. shaped) that you peel the backing off and stick on the picture frames. I took a group picture of all of the girls dressed up like rock stars and printed them all a copy to put in their frame. They loved it and it was a cute keepsake.

I planned my little sisters 7th birthday party and a great decoration was cd's strung on fishing line hanging from the roof, and we also had the girls watch Hannah Montana while all the girls took turns getting there nails done (which is very inexpensive if u have lots of polish already and the girls loved it) we had nail stickers and jewels for them to choose from
