Teen birthday party ideas for girls (and maybe boys) - fun and perfect with girlfriends! Here are teen birthday party themes, also good for pre-teens and tweens!
Teenagers come in all types. These teen birthday party ideas and themes are slanted toward teens, pre-teens, and tweens who enjoy fun and maybe a little silliness. Anyone up for a pnk party, a glamour or make-ever party, or a movie themed birthday? Cool!
Following are some fun girl birthday party themes.
Have a Pink Birthday Party Theme for Teen Girls
Go all out with this fun theme where even Barbie’s house looks dull by comparison. Go crazy with pink invitations (asking guests to wear pink, of course), party goods, décor, balloons, bows, and food.
Food ideas include a really pink cake, strawberry ice cream, and pink heart-shaped cookies. Pink-tinted pancakes with strawberry syrup might be yummy, as would strawberry milk. If it gets to sickeningly sweet, add in some pink mashed potatoes. Brainstorm what light colored food can be tinted pink.
For fun party activities, Hasbro has a cool line of pink games for girls. How about pink Monopoly, Twister, or Jenga (available at Toys 'R' Us)?
Consider a tie-dye birthday craft where guests color white T-shirts or pillow cases various tones of pink.
For party favors, shop for pink goodies at a dollar store, including some pink nail polish and blush.
A Glamour Birthday Party for Teenage Girls
A little more serious in nature, but still fun, is a party theme based on the glamorous life.
For this party, guests are asked to come in their fanciest gowns, wear their most beautiful jewels, and expect to be pampered.
Décor for this birthday party theme can be in the birthday girl’s favorite color, in elegant black and silver, or really anything fancy. Pull out the best china, linens, and crystal, or find elegant paper and plastic party goods (perhaps even from the wedding or bridal section). Depending on budget, this teen party can be as fancy as one dares. Up for renting a limo?
Food should be fancy, a bit extravagant, and pretty. A formal dinner may be in order (at home or out at a nice restaurant).
For an activity, watching one or more of The Princess Diaries movies or the quirky 1987 film The Princess Bride would be perfect.
Another fun thing to do is to have the girls bring their digital cameras and take "glamour shots" of each other in fancy dresses, various poses, and elegant makeup.
Party favors can be a small, elegant piece of jewelry, a pretty goblet, or little makeup sets.
This would also work as a tweens birthday party idea theme.
A Movie Theme Party Idea for Teenagers
While this is focused on teen girls, a movie themed party will work for guys, too, or for a tween or co-ed party. Pick a movie that is a favorite of the birthday teen and build a birthday party theme around that. For instance:
A Pirates of the Caribbean teen birthday party idea would include pirate party goods (available in abundance since the movies came out), pirate attire, red bandanas for all to wear, eye patches for a little silliness, and black and red decor. Pirate music or movies can be played, one of the many Pirates of the Caribbean games available (Pirates Dice, Pirates of the Caribbean LIFE game, and so on). Be sure to serve chocolate coins out of a treasure chest!
To brainstorm movie party ideas, first think up a movie. Then start listing items (props) in the movie, clothing styles, and colors.

Another fun idea you could add is a back wards party with air filled
balloons with strings tied to the ceiling so they hang down and look upside
down, invitations written backwards, presents and cakes first, popular
games backward (i.e. Monopoly- the first person to go bankrupt wins, Donkey
game-pin the donkey to the tail, etc.), watch a quirky odd movie and write
"Happy Birthday" backwards on the cake.

I really need help for my 13 year old co-ed birthday parties, none of these
are what we're looking for. SOmeone really needs to come up with some more
ideas!!!! please! It's a house party and she wants it to be a cool party.
I need some activities or easy fun games. I have a large white board that
I intend to separate groups to play pictionary which is always a hit. And
they will make their own pizza on English muffins, but I need some more
ideas!
