Cookie Monster themed party invitations, games, cupcakes, favors and food to please the biggest Sesame Street fan.
Cookie Monster Party Invitations
Using free Cookie Monster clip art, copy and paste an outline of cookie monster onto a blank page in your word processing program. If you cannot find an outline of Cookie Monster, use the editing feature of your word processing program to create a black and white watermark of the clip art.
Make copies of the figure on blue paper and cut out so that you have multiple copies of Cookie Monster.
Type the Cookie Monster song substituting the first letter of the child’s age for C. For example, “T is for two, and that’s what he will be!” Underneath the song write the party information and print out on brown paper.
Cut out the song and party details in the shape of a cookie and glue to Cookie Monster’s hands. Send out to all the guests
Cookie Monster Themed Games
Letter of the Day Game: Purchase an inexpensive blue children’s pool. Draw two large eyes and a mouth and tape to the bottom of the pool to form Cookie Monster’s face. Hide paper, plastic and magnetic letters all over the party room. Have the kids find the letters around the room and feed them to Cookie Monster. When all the letters have been found, have Cookie Monster pretend to eat the letters.
Stick the Cookie on the Cookie Jar: Draw a large cookie jar on a white poster board. Inside of the cookie jar draw a chocolate chip cookie and color it with crayons. On white paper trace the chocolate chip cookie and cut out one for each child. Hang the poster board in the party area. Have the guests each decorate a paper cookie and write his name on the front of it. During the party have each child take a turn trying to stick his cookie onto the cookie in the cookie jar. Blindfold the kids to increase the difficulty.
Cookie Monster Piñata: Buy a Cookie Monster piñata at the party store. Fill goodie bags with Cookie Monster and Sesame Street treats. Look for treats such as pencils, stickers, and washcloths at the party store or dollar store.
Cookie Monster Cupcakes
Give each guest his own Cookie Monster cupcake. Follow the directions to bake cupcakes using a box mix.
Cover each cupcake with white frosting and shake blue sprinkles on top.
Stick two white M&Ms on top of the blue sprinkles and use black gel icing to turn the M&Ms into eyes.
Stick a mini-chocolate chip cookie under the eyes as if Cookie Monster was eating a cookie.
Cookie Monster Party Favors
Obtain blue plastic tumblers for each guest.
Write each child’s name across the cup and decorate with Sesame Street stickers.
Fill each cup with mini-chocolate chip cookies and wrap in plastic wrap. Tie the plastic wrap at the top with blue curling ribbon.
