Your child and his friends will never forget how much fun they had on the construction site at this Construction Birthday Party. Here are ideas to get the party rolling and steam right through the fun.
Printable invites are below. Print on regular paper or cardstock. Cut along the outer dotted lines and fold the inner dotted lines to form the invite. Fill in the appropriate information.
Directions: Divide the kids into pairs. Have one kid be the wheelbarrow and the other kid being the one who pushes the wheelbarrow. On your signal each pair will race to a designated place, switch roles (the wheelbarrow becomes the pusher), and run back to the starting line. Continue until the kids are tired of playing the game.
Directions: You will need to start this project about two days before the party. Coat a large balloon with paper mache paste. Layer it two times so it will break easily. Once the paper is dry, stick a pin in the balloon and pull it out by its knot. Paint the wrecking ball with gray paint. Let dry. Fill the ball with individually wrapped candies and novelty toys. Cover the hole with black crepe (streamer) paper. Put lots of streamers, so every kid will have the chance to pull one of the streamers off. Have the kids keep taking turns pulling off the streamers until all of the candy falls out of the ball.
Serve subs buffet style so the kids can pick out what they like on their sandwich. Have pickles and chips, too! Place their lunch in a brown baggie to take back to the party table.
Directions: Take a plastic dump truck that is clean and dry and fill it with vanilla pudding. Mix in crushed Oreo cookies and sprinkle lots of crushed cookies on top of the pudding to look like a mound of dirt. Add gummy worms and bugs. Just scoop and serve.
Goodie bags can include road sign lollipops, small construction trucks, candy corn, a large candy bar, Tonka gummy snack bags, small set of tools, candy from the pinata, a plastic or foam construction hat.
