Everyone loves the Care Bears. They are soft and cuddly, pleasant, and kind. Use these birthday party ideas to make a wonderful Care Bears party for your child.

This great Care Bears birthday party revolves around those lovable, adorable little creatures that kids are so crazy about. Children will enjoy games and decorations that are sure to make them smile, as well as a wonderful (and easy to make) Care Bears Cake.

Invitations

Printable invites are below. Print on regular paper or cardstock. Cut along the outer dotted lines and fold the inner dotted lines to form the invite. Fill in the appropriate information.

Decorations

Arrange the Care Bears around the room in different locations. Set them up so that it appears that one is holding balloons, while one or two others hold up the happy birthday sign or poster. Have others in party hats, or holding and tooting party favors.

For tableware use:

Use pastel colors for plates, napkins, cups, and flatware. Use a pastel colored tablecloth as well. If you would rather have the official Care Bears theme items, you can find them at Whale of a Party.

Care Bears Games

Charades

Guess which bear I am. Care Bears make great charades starters. Let children act out their favorite “Care Bear” character, while others try to guess which one they are supposed to be.

Care Bear Go Round

Have children sit in a circle on the floor. Have a tape player handy with a fun song playing. You will also need to have the same amount of Care Bears (that you can give away) as you have children. While the music plays begin handing out Care Bears, to the children in the circle. Give every child except the birthday girl a Care Bear. (the birthday girl gets a hug instead.) Children need to pass their bears to the right as long as the music continues to play. When children have been passing bears for a little while, stop the music. Whichever child is not holding a bear when the music stops “Wins.” This means they get the extra bear that you did not hand out. Take one bear away from the circle, and let children begin passing bears again. Keep playing until all of the children have had a chance to “win” this game.

Cake and Snack

Teddy Bear Sandwiches make a fun and festive birthday snack for kids. Cut bread into “Teddy Bear” shapes using a teddy bear cookie cutter. Spread bread slices with butter and lay them on a cookie sheet. Top with shredded cheese, and place under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes, until cheese melts. Put halves together for a “baked grilled cheese.”

“A Beary Good Snack”

Serve assorted berries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and blackberries, with mini-marshmallows. Serve in Care Bears drinking cups found at a party supply store or at The Party Works.

Other snack ideas might include:

For the Perfect Birthday cake to end the festivities, see Pillsbury Baking for a wonderfully creative Teddy Bear Cake. Adapt this cake for use as a “Care Bears” cake by simply replacing the chocolate sprinkles used to decorate the top with pastel colored sprinkles instead.

Goodie Bags

Care Bears are a popular item with kids. Try to find small tokens and trinkets that are representative of the “Care Bears," such as stickers, small plush Care Bears, pencils and notepads, gummy bear individual snacks, coloring books and crayons, and balloons.
