Who wouldn't want a Candyland birthday party? The possibilities are unlimited. Here are some ideas for decorations, crafts, games, and more.

A Candyland Birthday Party just makes your mouth water! With so many bright colors, sweet treats, and fun to be had, it will be a huge success with all the party guests.

Invitations

Printable invites are below. Print on regular paper or cardstock. Cut along the outer dotted lines and fold the inner dotted lines to form the invite. Fill in the appropriate information.

Decorations

Activities

Gingerbread Man Decorating. Give each child a gingerbread man cookie, a small bag of white icing with a corner snipped to distribute the icing, and a zip-lock baggie of assorted candies to decorate the cookie. Let children decorate and eat their own creation.

Decorate Ice Cream Cones. Give each child a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a bowl. Stick a sugar cone on top of the ice cream. Let the guests decorate their cones with frosting to hold on candies, and add candies inside the bowl to eat with the ice cream. Hot fudge can represent the Molasses Swamp.

Games

Live Candyland Game: Before the party, make up cards that you will choose to tell the kids what moves they need to make. Use the actual game as your guide. Make giant circles from felt and glue them onto a huge piece of cardboard, making a path for the kids to follow. At the special spaces, attach a picture of each object (peanut brittle, candy cane, snowflake, etc.), so the kids can play this part of the game as well. As each child reaches the castle at the end, give them a piece of candy.

Gum Drop Jar Guess. Have each guest guess how many gum drops are in a jar that you display on a table. Have them write their answer and their name on a piece of a paper. The winner with the closest guess gets to take the jar home.

Cake

Make one or two 9" round cakes, decorate with white icing, and add red icing lines for stripes to make peppermint candy cakes. Make triangles out of lightweight cardboard and cover with clear cellophane. Stick the triangles into the cakes to make the candy wrapper openings.

Goodie Bags

Fill goodie bags with king-sized candy bars, a colorful lollipop, crayons, stickers, and peppermint candies.
